Graphic Props / Library Card inspired by Matilda

Needed a bookmark, so I made myself a little old school library checkout card 😊

Roald Dahl Story Day happened recently, and to celebrate, I reread Matilda. It was one of my favourites growing up, because I always loved books and so did she. Now I recognise it as a love letter to stories and reading and libraries and librarians and good teachers; which are all things that I'm very grateful for. ❤️

Great Expectations was the first "grown up" book that Matilda read at her local library, recommended by the librarian, Mrs Phelps, when Matilda was "four years and three months" old. I found this copy of it at home - I think it belonged to my grandad - and decided to add it to my TBR list. Needed a bookmark though; and decided a little tribute to Matilda would be fitting. 😊
