I’m delighted to share the news that Really Rotten Rhymes - the first children’s book I’ve had the opportunity to illustrate - is now available to pre-order! I’ve been working hard on this project for a few months now and I’m very excited to share it! Written by the wonderful author and poet Gabriel Fitzmaurice, and published by Ireland’s oldest independent book publisher Mercier Press, the book will be out on April 8th, and it will be available wherever you buy your books, in shops and online (I’ll drop some links to online retailers below!). It’s 64 pages long, and perfect for children up to ten years old. Please do check it out, pick up and copy, and let me know what you think!

PS: I remember my parents reading Gabriel Fitzmaurice poems to me and my brothers when we were kids, so it’s pretty surreal to see my name alongside his on a front cover now!

Based on the author's experiences as a teacher, as a parent, and as a big kid himself, these classic rhymes present the really rotten moments that children relish. These are rhymes that children, young and old, will enjoy repeating to themselves and to friends - they're rotten and they're slightly, but nicely, rude. The children love them, their grown-ups pretend to be less amused (but in secret they love them too!)
